roberts was born in Panama, attended school in New York City, and became the poet that she is today in Quebec where she lives. Her collection, rushes from the river disappointment (McGill-Queen’s University Press, 2020), is an A.M. Klein Poetry Book Prize finalist. The Montreal Review of Books called it ... a sweeping force of music, pulsing images, clear wit, and tenderness. Within beautifully formed poems, there is extensive consideration of what we can understand about love and grief alongside faith and “unbelief.” Her work has also been featured in POETRY, The League of Canadian Poets, EVENT Magazine, Arc Poetry Magazine, Verse Daily, Canthius, New York Quarterly Books, and elsewhere. She is a Canada Council for the Arts grant recipient and winner of Black Mountain Press's The Sixty-Four: Best Poets of 2018.
