My name is Alicia, what a perfect name. I am from Alicante (Spain) close to the beach, the sun and the paella. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Spain. I have been expanding my professional development as a Spanish as a Second Language Teacher for kids, Emotional Education, Art, Loose Parts, Reggio Emilia Approach, … and I still have a lot to learn. I have worked in different schools in Spain, USA and Canada, but it was after working in North Carolina teaching in Spanish to preK kids when I started thinking about MALETAbooks. I have always used books as a fundamental tool when I teach. Because with one book you can achieve so many things: introducing a new topic, learning about feelings, answering the questions from the most curious kids, calling out to the little ones, taking a break from too many letters and numbers, … and also learning Spanish.
